10 – 13 May 2014 Aljunied MRT Open Ground Celebrate Vesak with Amitabha Buddhist Centre 25 Years of Giving Dharma to Others On the occasion of the Buddha’s enlightenment and parinirvana, Amitabha Buddhist Centre presents for the first time, Our Amitabha Buddha Pure Land Thangka All are welcome to view, venerate, and create vast merit Towering at 50 feet high and 30 feet wide, our magnificent new thangka portrays Amitabha Buddha in His Pure Land accompanied by the eight great bodhisattvas. Sewn entirely by hand by Tibetan artists in south India, it took over one year of painstaking labour to complete the detailed applique work. This one-of-a-kind masterpiece resulted from following the holy wishes and advice of our Spiritual Director, Lama Zopa Rinpoche. It is Rinpoche’s wish, that this enormous display of Amitabha in His Pure Land will greatly benefit all who see it.
